Contact Independent Sector and/or Youth Service America and ask for a copy
of their recently co-published survey on youth volunteerism - "Volunteering
and Giving among American Teenagers 12 to 17 Years of Age." As I recall
they too found women much more engaged in service. (But then this is a
trend that is almost always noted in the general population as well.)
