Hi, folks!
Does anyone know of research that examines differentials in service activity
and motivation between females and males? I am on the board of the Students
Sharing Coalition, a nonprofit service-learning program in the Baltimore
area that primarily engages high school students in projects related to
urban poverty and homelessness. We see much more interest among women
students than among men students. So we are interested in better
understanding what motivates each group.
If you have any references on research or on program design that address
these issues, please let me know, either directly or to the list if you
think that what you have would be of general interest. Thanks much.
