Hi,
I am the Service-Learning Coordinator at Towson State University, a
mid-size metropolitan university just outside of Baltimore, MD.
Recently, I was asked by the university's Study Abroad Advisor to look
into the notion of providing service-learning opportunities to our
students studying abroad in other countries (Mexico, Italy, Spain, Great
Britian...). We discussed the idea and, we were interested if other higher
education institutions had pursued this creative opportunity. If so, what
have you tried? What model(s) have you used? And ultimately, what worked?
We would truly appreciate any feedback on this issue.
