Is anyone doing anything for National Volunteer
Week (April 22-28)? I am working with a group of students to plan events
for the week and am just looking for some creative experience-based
suggestions.
So far this is what we have planned:
Sunday the 21st - Opening Ceremony / Keynote
Speaker
Monday the 22nd - Earth Day / Environment Tuesday the 23rd - Health Wednesday the 24th - Service-Learning Thursday the 25th - Social Issues (hunger, homelessness, poverty) Friday the 26th - Community (elderly, children, animals) Saturday the 27th - All Campus Service
Day
Sunday the 28th - Ending ceremony Each day is will hopefully have 3-5 service opportunities and at least one educational session related to the theme for the day. Any input would be great and I would be happy to share any responses with the listserve. Thanks -Steve |
