Service Learning conference in NC

The North Carolina Campus Volunteers Coalition is hosting the fourth annual
Service Learning Institute on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Elon University.
This is a one-day conference designed for faculty and staff involved
or interested in service learning.
Scheduled workshops and roundtables include:

Participatory Research and Service-Learning: A Natural Match for
the Community and Campus

A Developmental Balancing Act: Impact of Student Development on Service-Learning

Building Successful Teams in Service Learning

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Patti Clayton of NC State University. Registration
is $25 per person. The conference will run from 9am-4pm in the Moseley
Campus Center at Elon University. Elon is located in central North Carolina
(near Burlington), between Greensboro and Raleigh/Durham.
