INTRODUCING . . . .

"PREPARING TEACHER CANDIDATES TO TEACH WITH SERVICE-LEARNING"
A Service-Learning Online Course

http://www.csuchico.edu/psed/servicelearning

Dr. Theresa Davis, Associate Professor at California State University, Chico,
has developed this website in an effort to introduce service-learning pedagogy
to future K-12 teachers.

This website has been developed specifically for university students who are
studying to become teachers. It is accessible to any college or university
student and faculty member as an online course without charge. The content can
be integrated into an existing teacher education course. The bulletin board
provides an opportunity for individuals to post their service-learning projects
and share ideas from campus to campus.

Features of the Site:
** Three Modules: Introduction to Service-learning; Designing a
Service-Learning/Academic Unit of Instruction; and Tools for Reflection and
Assessment
** A Toolbox with Links, Articles and Bulletin Board
** Online video segments of service-learning projects developed by teacher
candidates
