>Marquette University, A Catholic, Jesuit institution, seeks qualified
>candidates for the Assistant Dean for Multicultural Programs position in
>the Office of Student Development.  The office focuses on three goals: 1)
>encouraging active student involvement and a strong, vibrant and diverse
>campus community, 2) fostering a lifelong ethic of service and a commitment

>character development.  This position reports to the Dean of Student

>The Assistant Dean of Student Development is responsible for:  1)
>developing and coordinating student multicultural programming efforts; 2)
>managing the operations and services of the Multicultural Center; 3)
>providing campus-wide outreach programs in the areas of diversity and
>multicultural relations; 4) advising student organizations in planning and
>implementing multicultural and diversity programs; and 5) supporting
>recruitment and retention efforts for students of diverse cultural and
>ethnic backgrounds.  Additionally, as part of a team of student development
>specialists, the Assistant Dean assists in the design and implementation of
>leadership training, peer education, student conduct and community service
>programs for students and student organizations.

>Qualifications: Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration,
>Counseling, Higher Education Administration or related field and
>demonstrated experience in programming, facilitating groups, training, and
