greetings,
after I read elaine's request for apa specific service-learning I thought
to ask people if anyone knows of afrocentric service-learning options.
actually, this request is a bit more varied. my university, hamline in st
paul mn, is sending four groups of students to our sister united methodist
affliated historic black colleges in the south during our spring break,
march 19-26. I am beginning to research helpful information for them.
the sites at this moment are dillard in new orleans, bethune-cookman in
daytona beach, clark atlanta in atlanta, and rust in holly springs.
actually, if anyone knows of service-learning activities in those areas, if
people want to kvell (yiddish for let me onto a great thing) about that one
article or reflection activity on white priviledge or the history of the
civil rights in the US, or if people on this list have any INSIGHTS, i'd
love the information, i'm a novice at this. thanks.
