Re: Another thought for the cwn's

Hi all,
    I'm a Learning Support teacher at a public high school who joined this 
listserv to learn about service learning for a web project I was working on 
with a couple other people.  We have a community service program at our 
high 
school and I have three children, one in high school, who is now 
participating in a service learning program with her high school.
    Please do not stop writing the thought provoking comments that discuss 
various aspects of service learning.  I have learned a tremendous amount by 
reading these postings and continue to check it everyday even though my 
project is completed.  I delete the messages that are purely announcements, 
but I always read the messages that bring up topics or problems associated 
with service learning.  Higher education seems to be breaking ground and 
beginning the discussion of making service learning a part of everyone's 
education, and I hope that one day schools K - 12 will eventually 
incorporate 
these ideas into their curriculum.  Sharing your ideas on this listserv 
with 
those of us not in a higher educational institution is one of the benefits 
of 
the Internet.
