>Faculty, graduate students, scholars, researchers,
>policymakers, and administrators in Higher Education and related fields
>are invited to submit research articles,
>theoretical papers, literature, book and essay reviews, or revised
>conference papers that analyze, challenge, and/or
>create Higher Education theory, history, philosophy, policy, and
>practice
>
>Submission guidelines
>O  Submit 4 copies of each manuscript, including a short abstract, by
>February 15, 2000. Papers will be accepted on an open-call basis but
>those
>submitted by the February date will receive first consideration for the
>next issue.
>O  Manuscript page size should be 8 ½ by 11 inches
>O  Author(s) should be identified only on the title page to permit
>anonymity throughout the review process
>O  All copy, including excerpts, footnotes, and references should be
>double-spaced and justified to the left margin only
>O  Typeface size should be 12 point
>O  All punctuation, including periods, semicolons, and colons, should be
>followed by only one space
>O  It is preferred that manuscripts conform to the publication
>guidelines
>of the APA. Authors of manuscripts that are conditionally accepted for
>publication but which are in other publication styles will be asked to
>revise their papers to APA style prior to final acceptance.
>O  HEP prefers manuscripts of approximately 20 pages in length and
>reserves the right to return lengthy manuscripts
>O  Book reviews (of one book) are generally 5-8 pages in length
>O  Essay reviews (of two or more related books) are generally 8-10 pages
>in length
>O  Tables and figures should appear on separate sheets and should be
>kept
>to a minimum
>O  Contributors should retain one copy of the manuscript, as manuscripts
>will not be returned unless the author has included a self-addressed,
>postage-paid envelope
>O  Final versions of accepted manuscripts must be submitted on 3 ½"
