call for abstracts - mjcsl

Service-learning colleagues,

This is a call for 1 page abstracts for possible paper submissions for the
volume 7 (fall 2000) issue of the Michigan Journal of Community Service
Learning.  An abstract or precis is the first step in submitting a paper
for publication, and it is due December 17th.

The Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning is an annual,
international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes research, theory,
pedagogy, and related matters relevant to academic service-learning in
higher education.  The target audience is faculty and administrators.

The timeline is as follows:

1.A one-page abstract or précis is due by December 17, 1999, preferably by
e-mail, otherwise by fax or mail (please include e-mail address).
Invitations to submit a complete paper will be made in early January.

2.Complete papers are due March 24, 2000.

3.Papers will be returned with peer reviewer comments by the end of
June/early July.

4.Accepted papers needing additional author attention will be due back to
the editor by the middle to end of July.

5.Complimentary copies of the Journal will be mailed to authors of accepted
papers during the month of October.
