"Does anyone know of any service based fellowships? Any info would be
helpful. Thanks. Chris"

I have recently joined the service learning listserve. I was involved
with an excellent human services program during college and am
interested in graduate programs in service learning. I am currently
working for an international volunteer program and wanted to connect
with other service learning professionals through this list-serve.

Please feel free to post the following message to any of your students
interested in a community service fellowship abroad. Thank you.

PROJECT OTZMA

Wondering what to do after graduation?

Looking for an alternative to work or graduate school?

Interested in spending a year in a foreign country to gain global
experience and foreign language skills?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, we may have the
answer for you.

Project Otzma is a 10 month international volunteer fellowship in
Israel. The program focuses on training the future leaders of the
Jewish Community while giving participants the opportunity to make
valuable personal connections with Israelis. This is accomplished
through meaningful community service placements in many settings where
participants work with diverse Israeli populations. This service
component is reinforced through a series of educational and leadership
training seminars as well as intensive Hebrew language study.

If you are interested in finding out more information about Project
Otzma, or would like to receive written information, please contact
Naomi Friedman, North American Otzma Coordinator.
