To All:
I have just finished reading a new book entitled Service-Learning in Higher
Education written by a colleague of mine at the University of Maryland,
Barbara Jacoby. I might be biased but I think it is an invaluable resource
for any college faculty, administrators, or others interested in
service-learning as it occurs,is organized, and conducted on college
campuses. It discusses the history of service, various modes in which
service-learning can be organized, the benefits of service-learning, means
of evaluation, etc. It includes chapters written by experts in the
service-learning field.
Check it out. It's bibliographical reference is:

Francisco: Jossey-Bass, 1996.
