Todd,
what about the age of Dickens do you want to focus on? are you
interested in the social issues he addresses? the aesthetics of Victorian
culture? If the former, a little historical comparison with those same
issues in contemporary cities might work. We still have at least one
large foot in the industrial era and its effects have had a few more years
to play out on urban life. Any number of issues/agencies would work,
especially those that address the needs of children and the elderly. Kim
