CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT

On Monday, April 29, the Massachussetts Advisory Board of the National
Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) will host a
one-day forum on Service-Learning at Northeastern University in Boston,
MA.

The conference is geared for those who are just starting programs as
well as those who are currently working in programs and may be looking
to expand or improve. Conference attendees will be split into two
groups based on experience with service-learning and program budget
allocation to facilitate networking. Workshops will utilize a
round-table format and encourgage active particpation from all.

The morning session will focus on maximizing the learning of both
students and facilitators engaged in service-learning through
well-planned and thoughtful reflection seminars and other techniques.
The afternoon session will focus on resources in the New England area as
well as Nationally. Grant-writing/finding will be discussed as well as
existing structures for organizational resources and support. A
constant theme for the day is working toward developing partnerships
between faculty and student affairs professionals in implementing
service-learning programs.

The cost of the conference is $10 per person, which includes a
continental breakfast and lunch. If you would like more information or

also put you in touch with others in the region who are facing the same
