Service-Learning Course

Slippery Rock University is offering a service-learning course on-site in
London from August 1-August 19, 1996. The course, Management Issues in Non-
Profit Organizations, includes traditional course work as well as field trips
to British social service agencies, international non-profit organizations,
mini-internships in some of these agencies as well as two opportunities to
participate in service-learning projects in Britain. Course participants will
join the Community Service Volunteers of Britain in Birmingham, England for a
day long environmental service project. Students will be hosted in Plymouth
for four days by Rotary members while they assist local service agencies
complete projects arranged by the Rotary.

Any interested college student, regestered at any college or university, is
welcome to regester for this three credit course. Cost for air and land
transportation, lodging, most meals, field trips, and other related program
activities is $1995. An additional fee for acedemic credit of $442.20 for PA
residents and $1066.20 for non-PA residents is required. All persons who would
like to join this project but not receive acedemic credit pay a registration
fee of $325.
