Description: Nominations for the 1996 Yoshiyama Award for
Exemplary Service to the Community, awarded
annually to 6 to 10 high-school seniors
engaged in outstanding community service.
Nominators may be teachers, school officials,
service providers, members of the clergy, or
other people affiliated with community
organizations, schools, or churches. Students
may not nominate themselves, and parents may
not nominate their children. Each award is
accompanied by a $5,000 unrestricted prize.
