As much as I'd like to say "Way to go Miriam!" I cannot. Truth be told,
Miriam and I have millions of peers who don't vote nearly as much as mom and
dad did, who don't raise their children as well as mom or dad did (if at
all), don't contribute to charity as much, don't belong to PTAs as much,
don't help out a neighbor in need as much, don't care for grandma and grandpa
as much, don't read as much, think as much, pray as much, or sacrifice for
others and the common good as much. And I really don't think mom and dad
would have created Newt, Rush, Pat Buchanan, Rikki, trash movies, trash TV,
and trash "culture" as we have. Mom and Dad embraced the New Deal, not the
"Art of the Deal." They might have opposed abortion but they never killed
Doctors to prove their "pro-life" stance. They didn't even know what "having
it all" meant.
