On Sunday a hacker illegally subscribed thousands of addresses to lists
across the country. We were hit hard here too. The SL List received
about 40 illegal subscriptions. One of the addresses illegally
subscribed to the SL List was Gingerich's. (We also had the president,
the vice president and the first lady subscribed...). As a result,
Gingerich's office received one of the messages from the SL list
yesterday. Thus the automatic response from his office to the SL List.
We've deleted his address - and all of the other illegal addresses - from
our lists. I hope this helps clear up any questions some of you might
have about why his message appeared on the SL List.
