Hello Fellow S-L Folks! I hail from UMass/Amherst (yes, the home of the
magnificent Minutement...). I am just sending out this post to say that
I am really looking forward to the ACPA conference in Baltimore and am
looking forward to the get together that Jen Sawyer has organized for
Wednesday at 6 p.m. It should be lots of fun to put names to faces.
I am also really glad that ACPA has decided to put such a huge focus on
service-learning. We are riding the wave of something that has
tremendous value and potential for the entire academy.
One final point. I am sure most of you have realized how wonderful it is
that it is both student affairs-type conferences AND academic
affairs-type conferences that are turning to an exploration of service
learning. This means that the gap between the two domains can be shrunk
and more collaboration can be achieved.
Looking forward to some good conversations with you all. See you in a
few days.

P.S. How many of you are doing the service learning institute on
Thursday? The one being facilitated by fellow list members Stewart,
Mintz and Delve. I am really looking forward to this.
