DIRECTOR
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM
Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minnesota

Gustavus Adolphus College, a selective liberal arts college in St. Peter,
Minnesota, invites applications for the position of Community Service Program
Director. Currently a three-quarter time appointment, consideration is being
given to making this a full-time, 11-month position.

Responsibilities: To serve as a resource for campus service learning programs,
to facilitate student involvement in community service, and to assist in the
integration of service learning and the formal curriculum. This will entail the
development of community service/service learning opportunities; the
recruitment, screening, training and monitoring of program participants;
collaboration with faculty members; evaluation of vaious campus-community
collaborations; effective communication with a broad range of program partners,
both on and off campus; and project/proposal development and grants management.

Qualifications: BachelorUs degree required; masterUs preferred. Other
preferred qualifications include significant relevant experience, demonstrated
organizational skills, effective interpersonal and communications abilities,
experience with grant writing and management, and an understanding of student
and community development theory and practice.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; excellent
