KES2006: 10th International Conference on Knowledge-Based Intelligent
Information & Engineering Systems Call for Papers: Invited Session on "AI in Decision Making" |
|
Topics A new class of artificial intelligence techniques (AI) is revolutionalizing the support of decision making, especially under uncertain conditions by such means as coordinating data delivery, analyzing data trends, providing forecasts, developing data consistency, quantifying uncertainty, anticipating the user’s data needs, providing information to the user in the most appropriate forms, and suggesting courses of action. This session will focus on artificial intelligence techniques and applications that can support decision making. Papers are encouraged that explore advances in methods such as intelligent agents and fuzzy logic that can be utilized in decision making support. Papers that explore the treatment of uncertainty are especially of interest to this session. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Both theoretical papers and
papers describing practical experiences will be welcome. Please note that the required
paper length is eight pages in Springer format. Papers longer than this will
be subject to a penalty charge. Papers very much longer or shorter than the
required length may be rejected. To ensure high quality, all papers will be
thoroughly reviewed by the KES2006 Programme
Committee. All papers for KES2006 must be submitted in electronic form using
the software review system on the KES site at
http://kes2006.kesinternational.org/index.php. All oral and poster papers
must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference
and pay the fee. Authors are not encouraged to submit multiple papers, and
authors will be restricted to one paper per registration. The Conference Proceedings will
be published and distributed by a major publisher, Springer-Verlag. Extended versions of selected papers will be
considered for publication in the International
