Calculus 251, Fall 2009, Duckworth
This page is for two calculus courses: MA 251.03 and MA 251.04 Alpha.
They are almost, but not quite identicial. They will have the same
homework assignments and tests, but the Alpha course will have extra
reading and writing assignments and activities.

Calendar for the rest of the semester
I want to try to make sure everyone knows where we're going for the rest of the semester. So, here goes (although I may not have the days 100% accurate).
- By Friday, November 20. We'll have finished up 4.9 (Anti-derivatives) and started 5.2 (The definite integral).
- By Monday, Novemeber 23. We should have finished 5.2 and started 5.3 (the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus)
- By Tuesday, November 24. We should have finished 5.3.
- By Monday, November 30. We should have started 5.4 (net change and the Fundament Theorem of Calculus).
- By Tuesday, December 1. We should have finished 5.4. QUIZ 3
- By Wednesday, December 2. We should have started 5.5 ( U-substitution).
- Friday, December 4. MIDTERM 3
- Monday, December 7. We should be in the middle of 5.5, possibly finishing.
- Tuesday, December 8. We should have finished 5.5.
- Wednesday, December 9. We will review for the Final exam.

Here's a brief reminder about how WebWork works:
- It's an online homework grading system.
- You login to get your homework problems; you can view the problems
on the webpage or you can download a copy to print out.
- After solving
the problems you log back in and enter your answers. On most problems
you can take as many tries as you want to solve the problem.
